Day 2: Sabah

Pulau Manukan.
From Kota Kinabalu, it's a 15 minutes journey on speed boat. Transportation + taxes will cost around RM26-30 per adult.

The jetty:

There are a few other islands around this island. The shore is very clean and water soooo clear... takbley tahan beb!

Arrival!

Some Photos: Chalets are available. Plus equipments for snorkeling, swimin and diving are also available for rent.

Tell me.... Ini Akuarium ke apa? Huhuh.. again... takbley tahan lorrr....
These kids were swimmin n diving away like they belonged to the sea... i think they are locals... amazed giler tengok mereka selam begitu sahaja... envy! :D and dgn ramah mesra nya... striking a pose... can see the pack of fish no? geram menggigit jari. Oh yaa... btw... if u don't want to be surrounded by these fishiokia, there are other spots as well... dip in n swim all u want...
Since the water is so clear... and in the midst of excitement... I forgot that it's salty (ingat swimmin pool ka apa)... and swallowed a handsome lot of saltiness... gulp... sungguh enak dimakan begituu sajaa...

Kinabalu Park.... where the Mount Kinabalu lies...

Family trip with a toddler and a kiddo... of cos we didnt hike or climb da mountain aar... For sightseeing purpose, there's botanical garden and some tourist information outlets. We walked to the botanical garden only to decide not to go in the garden coz we had to hike further... just moved on with the sopan walkway back to the entrance. Trail/walkway yang sopan adalah seperti ini:
I kept me self occupied with da floras...
The map showing ways around the park. Looks like someone's trying to teach me how to read the map from upside down.... hohohoho....

Kundasang
Fresh vege n fruits.
Eureka! I found this! Ze fruit you can't find in Peninsula. It's known as Tarap... Not Durian or Cempedak mahupun Nangka.. its Tarap... only in Sabah, Sarawak and some say Kalimantan.
Jeng jeng Jeng.... inilah Tarap! upclose n personal:

We couldnt see the mountain earlier at the park as it was foggy. By the time fogs cleared, we were on our way back from Kundasang. We were lucky we caught the sight of this highest mountain in Malaysia. Maka... we stopped by pekan mabalu, which has an observation deck built to observe this: Marbeles... cantik... but ayoyooo.. tingggi bah... macam mana mau daki ini??
Tak mampu daki takpa... janji ada gaya....

There r some other places we visited / dropped by... this is kinda random trip... Rent a car and start the engine... vrrr.vrrr vrrroomm... Family trip... but we arrived in different flights, with 30minutes difference. Sungguh laaa kreatip kan...

Yang tak tahan tu.... dengan konfidennya... my sis and I beli la tiket air asia dan MAS campur-campur, thinking we would arrive and depart from the same place... bila dah landing, rupa-rupanya K.K juga ada 2 airport... OMG...haha...

departure... I travelled back alone with the Kotak berisi Ikan-ikan, ketam, sotong yang fresh. Sangat murah dan fresh weh, no pixxies coz I didnt follow em to the wet market... After sending them to the 2-hours-earlier-than-mine flight, went back to Pasar K.K to get some last minutes items... ehehe... before heading back to terminal Mas with the I-so-hope-this-thing-tak-terbocor kotak.

Dun worry fellas... I survived the journey :P~

so dat explains why Omyn saw my mom with the kiddos and the rest, but not me... Yaa... just too cute to be true, kan....

Coming back home...
So... what did I get for me selff:
Lots of blink-blings... I lykee! I am crazy about these stuff... so apa lagik! Yipppie.. aku heppi...

Ohyaaaaaaaa...
Buah Tarap... kitorg belik untuk cubajaya:
Ooooo..... beginikah rupa beliau.... tapi rasa buah ini sedang-sedang aja dong. Aku penasaran (teringin) durian lepas makan Tarap... I desperately needed to feast on the King of fruitz (kalo mat salleh mesti kata Killer of fruits) Hahahhaa...

Maka... just now... beli ini kat Kuala Perlis... Yes, was in Perlis tadi.. after smalam berada di Sabah, Selangor dan Penang dalam masa sehari... aku rasa aku sudah lalok perjalanan weh!

Jadi Murid-murid....
MUSIM DURIAN IS AROUND THE CORNER!!!!!!!!

Day 1: Sabah

Came back from a short holiday in Sabah. With this, I have completed my cuti-cuti Malaysia, visited all states in Malaysia.

Some highlights dulu. Will cerita ceriti later in Second post... masih penat from travelling... from K.K sabah to KL.. from KL drove back to Penang....

Heritage Village, next to the State Museum.

One of the popular places for shopping.
Inset pix(left): Shops selling pearl n crystal based accessories.
Inset pix (right): Food from the sea... dried version....

Pantai Tg Aru...
Soft beach sand. Notice the different shade from the sky reflected to the sea.

Dinner... nyam nyam.... Sotong bakar
Inset pix (left): Some seaweed
Inset pix(right): Cicah pelam

Huhu.... wait??? is the fish green in color??? wait wait....

We didnt realise it until we almost finish the fish... upon discovering the fact that Ikan Batu is actually green in color... we can no longer eat... Hehee.. it is delicious... but thinking of how much it must have looked like one of our fishes in the aquarium, killed our apetite. Nasib baik dah makan dekat abes... ehehhehe...

Jalan-jalan Isi Lemak

Amaran: Very Long Post
Roti Bakar Telur Satu!

Oh Tidak...

Antara list of things bought by some of us:
1. buku coloring untuk kanak-kanak
2. eraser bentuk haiwan yang ada kaki
3. mercun pop-pop
4. dinosor plastik
5. seluar track imitation yang sungguh lawa
6. pil chi kit teck aun
7. etc...

Lokasi Ke-3:

Nak tau kenapa... kenalah cuba makan dulu ;-)

Memang kenyang dan puas hati lah....

Selepas makan... kita kena lah rehatkan perut, ye dok?

Lokasi ke-4: Pantai Robina, Butterworth
Lokasi ke-5: Buah Cicah, Butterworth

Eeeeeeeee.... Sedap.... sangat suka....

Lokasi ke-6: Rumah Nando & Emme, Perda Bt Mertajam

Lokasi ke-7: Juru - Nasi Ketam

Menariknya tempat ini, adalah ia betul-betul bersebelahan jeti nelayan... or you can say, kinda attached to it.
Permandangan matahari mula terbenam. *kawasan paya bakau.

At the end of the day, semua orang pulang dengan kekenyangan dan heppi.

reincarnation of a bookworm

Went to the library (after some nano years)… I borrowed 4 books... weeee...

Library is a mysterious place.

It is! Simply because that’s how I remembered it when I was younger. The primary school library was a dark place (tak cukup illumination), with 60% of the books beyond readable. Hard covered, dusty, yellow n dust catching pages, small writings, and traces of book worms. Sure didn’t look like it would attract kids 7-12 years old right? I heard that place has changed a lot, with replacements of furniture and books over the years. But all I can remember… it was a mysterious place.

Libraries got less and less mysterious as I grow up… the secondary school library had wider range of choice of books. But hehe… I secretly had an obsession over older books… a section where not many would end up in. Reading on science discoveries and encyclopedia (seriously weh) when the rest hunt for Tin-Tin series and Heinemann books. Oh ya.. Heinemann’s books... I was after those books too :P so I was not a total weirdo all the time lah.

I hated matriculation’s library… a boring place with number of tables more than the books. The library was used for Prep-session, which I hated to attend. There were no good books to read, so all I did was chat with friends despite getting annoyed stares from the good and behaved ones :P

Then the Uni library. I remember this library! I was there during a field trip when I was 13. At that time, I saw some students reading some thick-thick books with small-small writings with their face almost kissing the pages… “Is this life in uni? dun tell me we gonna have to really read all those thick-thick things?” Horror sight for a 13 -year old!

One year passed in Uni and I didn’t even go 2the library to borrow books… When I was in my 2nd year, I needed to borrow a book, but was clueless of the number of books allowed and period of loan. A junior had to tell me the info… haha… and I never remembered. If I needed to borrow one (once in a blue moon), I had to ask and re-ask :P Haha… I usually google things up rather than spending time in the library. In these once in a blue moon occasions, whenever I go to the library to look for some books, I like the feeling of walking in between the racks n books. Makes me feel so… urmmm… educated! Gagaggagagaha… feel so bookworm-ishh.. like bangga berbunga-bunga. Hahahha…

How things have changed huh… I used to love spending time in a library, but now… it feels like nostalgic and like walking into a museum when I walk into a library… teruk betoi… Apa ni? (Blame the Internet!) I am officially back as a student now… So after this recent visit to the library, I bernekad not to be too alien to a place called a library. I want to feel bookwormish again… konon...
